- I always wondered what happened to The Spark. I'm not sure if the web site still exists, but the last time I checked, they stopped updating. It seems that they have a side project called OkCupid! I took one of their tests and once again, I got hillarious results. You might find it funnier than I do. =/

While cleaning out stuff left over from an ex girlfriend and trying to find some spare computer parts, I found a couple of things that are disturbing. One, more than others. The first thing that I found was an old journal of mine. This looks like one I kept while I was still on crutches and going through that whole "life crisis/wtf do I do now" thing where I have to come to grips with everything I had hoped and planned for in my life as a career suddenly became an impossibility. That still bugs me to this day. Anyway, I was going through a lot of changes during the time of those writings. The journal is really beat up from years of use and abuse and then a few years in the bottom of a box where moisture did it a great disservice. I set it aside and thought to read it later. That was several weeks ago. I am not sure if I want to do that just yet. I've reread it before and found lessons learned that I had forgotten about. It's always interesting to read things like that years later and see how your decisions and "wisdom" have held up after time. Looking back at a decision you knew was bad turned out to be great, or seeing a missed opportunity that you wonder about from time to time. It mentions ex girlfriends, I'm sure. I've never been too good at dating. I never seem to let them last too long. I tell everyone I must be an asshole and many agree. This has been a running gag for many years. If I met a woman (never my strong suit) I would always introduce myself as Shane, the Asshole. I wonder sometimes how much of it is for show and how much is real. The reasoning for my greeting is still valid, in my opinion, but almost never used as I don't get out and party as much as I did all those years ago. In fact, if you are reading this now, there is a good chance that those parties are where you know me from. I would like to believe that the reason many of my relationships in the past have failed is because I'm an idealist looking for the perfect relationship. Time jades us all to some degree or another. Luckily, I'm nowhere near as bad as I once was. I couldn't tell you if it has made me easier to handle or not. I've drifted out of contact with almost everyone I once saw or spoke with daily. Most of the people I considered such an essential part of my life have drifted away leaving me to sit in front of a computer staring at a file in HTML and wondering where I'm going with this. I feel like there was something important I wanted to write but it has slipped away. Just like everything else, I guess.
In case you were wondering what the other thing I found was, it was a stash of gay porn that was hidden at my house by a friend of the ex who's things I was throwing away.
I don't know if the reasons why some girls watch man on man porn relate to the reasons some guys watch girl on girl porn, but I intend to ask. I can think of two reasons why guys watch lesbian porn and it would be fascinating to see if they are the same. The trick is to find another woman that likes to watch man on man porn. Ladies, if you can help me out on this one, I would be that much closer to enlightenment.

- I figured out another get rich quick scheme by tapping into popular culture and bad taste. Hats, shirts, pants, and shoes all have logos on them, but that's just the start. You know all those guys you see walking around with their pants half down so you can see 50% of their underwear? That's prime real-estate! If you start seeing some kids running around with their pants half off and their asses hanging out, stop for a second and check to see if their undies say anything. If they say "Eat mor chikn" or something to that effect, then you'll know I'm laughing my ass off in a fat pile of cash.
If that fails, I can always market novelty underware. Since most of those poor fassion victims are kids, then their parents have access to their clothes and probably feel the same way about their dress habits as I do. Mom throws away all their old boxers and replaces them with my product. Imagine the laughs when those poor kids go to school with "Kick Me" or "Entrance" written in bold letters on their ass. Just might encourage a few people to pull up their pants.
