Welcome to The Swamp's Homepage - Tuesday's 3pm-6pm on 94.7 CHRW. My name's Grant and I'm also the Program Director at CHRW, so if you've got something you want to say
email me at the stationor
I'll be interviewing The Salteens shortly (I think they're coming on Tuesday September 28, to play live before their show at Call The Office
November 11 - Joey Shithead was really fun - he got here a little late but that was a great 20 minutes - very spirited interview! Later that night he and DOA played Fanshawe College that night, touring for their new greatest hits package "War and Peace" and he was supposed to a spoken word bit to promote his new book "I, Shithead" - check out his website and read about
DOA - great site...
Here's the general rundown on the show:
3pm to 4:30pm - Mostly New Stuff - with some old - and London bands!
4:30pm to 5pm - Diggin' Thru My Vinyl (and sometimes special guests vinyl)
5pm to 6pm - Live from the Swamp - London and area bands play live from the CHRW Studio! If you're in a band and are interested in being on The Swamp...email me. No guarantees that you'll get on but I can guarantee that you won't get on if you don't try.
Bands that have played live so far are: Word of Mouth, the Black Saturdays, Tim E and the Yes Men, Janis Effect, Blue Skies At War, Chris Hart, Ten Heads, The Fathoms, coming:
March 23 - Spira Mirabilis
March 30 - Dave O'Halloran of What Wave magazine will be dropping by at 4:30 for an extended "Digging Thru My Vinyl" which will include some new releases of London material and what he promises will be a pile o' cool stuff! If you're a fan of 80's "zine scenes" check out the What Wave site - if you were there, probably some memories...
