area caused no injuries.
Prosecutor Gunned Down: Fery Silalahi, a prosecutor who helped try terrorism
cases, was shot dead Wednesday (26/5/04) in Palu, capital of Central Sulawesi
province. Hasman, a spokesman for the chief prosecutor's office, said Silalahi was
shot several times in his car just after attending an evening Mass. "At the moment he
was driving off, unknown gunmen opened fire," Hasman said. Witnesses said the

successful. In a Press Release dated May 11, 2004, the GPM Crisis Center together
with the GPM Advocacy Department denies having spread any such letter, nor can be
expected to do such thing. Further, all kinds of inconsistencies and mistakes in the
letter, are sufficient proof that the letter is a fake and probably aims to provoke people
