COMPLETE LIST OF MOVIE REVIEWS
Below is the alphabetical
listing of horror, cult, and B-movie reviews (note that
"St." is ordered as "Saint", "Dr." as "Doctor", "3" as Three,
etc.). Each review has a short synopsis and my opinion
of the film, in addition to ratings. The main rating
categories include Quality (quality of plot, acting, and script),
Visuals (appearance, special effects, cinematography), and Intensity
(suspense, action, how well it holds your interest). There
are also additional categories, depending on the movie, that quantify
another characteristic of the film. These are Laughability
(how funny, intentionallly or not, the film is), Gore (blood, guts,
violence), and T&A (quality and quantity of female nudity).
So, even if a movie rates low on the main categories, but has a high
rating in one of these, it could still be an enjoyable movie.
I would recommend, if you have a bad movie night with some of your
friends, that you look at the Laughability factor when deciding what
horrible movie to watch and mock.
Recently, I've decided to
add a Quick Rating, using the 0-5 star method. This rating is a quick
guide to the reviewed movies, and is more lenient than my strict rating parameters
described above. You'll see a rating in white for each movie below
as they are reviewed. Movies already reviewed may get updated with
a QR as time goes by. For reference, here's what the different ratings
mean: 0 - worst of the worst, not worth
looking at; * - a pretty bad movie, possibly
some blood or jokes or suspence, but don't count on much; ** - a subpar movie, but with a redeeming quality;
*** - a good movie,
interesting and worthwhile; ****
- a very good movie, of the genre - could be a hilarious B-movie,
or a gory horror film that delivers the goods, or a high quality
mainstream movie; ***** - superb
film, a classic, a paradigm for its genre.
Now onto the films:
